Calcium chloride (CaCl₂) is a very versatile and basic chemical that retains moisture for prolonged periods (hygroscopic) and it melts at much lower temperatures than typical rock salt (sodium chloride). It has many commercial applications which include dust control, de-icing and road-base stabilization. Calcium chloride is classified as non-hazardous and is safe to the environment when used as directed.

Dust Control

MCS utilizes its exclusive 26% mineral well brine to combat dust on many county and township and private roads. In addition, MCS supplies its liquid calcium chloride brine to other applicators in the State of Michigan.

Ice

MCS provides 26% liquid calcium chloride brine which is less corrosive than rock salt and prevents the bonding of snow and ice to road surfaces.

Road Base Stabilization

MCS will supply its exclusive mineral well brine to road building contractors for road stabilization.
